As of STAR DIAGNOSIS CD No. 08/03 the tank characteristic can be parameterized with STAR DIAGNOSIS in the instrument cluster.
All parameters for each authorized fuel tank (with MB part no.) are stored in STAR DIAGNOSIS.
If a tank is installed with a non-MB part no., the resistance values for each of the 6 different levels of the fuel level sensor (FULL, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, RESERVE and EMPTY) must be acquired form the manufacturer.
