With the introduction of fuel pump, part nos. 163 470 27 94 and 163 470 28 94, please note:
If the vehicle has not previously been retrofitted (during maintenance or service) with fuel filter with pressure regulator (FFR), part no. 163 477 05 01, then this retrofit must be performed at time of fuel pump replacement.
When replacing the fuel pump, the fuel filter must be replaced only if the vehicle is not already equipped with the larger fuel filter with pressure regulator.
