 An increasing number of steering gears are being unjustifiably replaced under warranty/goodwill. The following must be observed before replacing: 

 In the event of leakage on the steering damper valve, the steering gear must not be replaced.

1	Check connections on steering gear for leakage	 If a leaky connection is determined: 
		Replace seals one by one.
