Service Information: seal on output flange of through-drive axle

Due to further technical development and to improve the quality or idle times the seal of the through-drive shaft on the output side of the driven front axle with through-drive, axle model designation 730.116 has been modified.

The radial sealing ring, the output flange (2) and protective plate have been ,modified, see Parts ordering notes.

 To distinguish between the drive flange and output flange, see figure.

 For repair work on the through-drive only these modified replacement parts may be installed together otherwise leaks may occur at the output flange.

The special tools required for this have likewise been newly developed, they should be used in combination with the
 handle 748 589 05 15 02 with which you are already familiar.
