During removal/installation of the oil pressure sensor (1) care should be taken to ensure that oil, dirt or any other fluids do not enter the connector or the sensor connector.
Otherwise, the pressure equalization bore (arrow) in the sensor electronics can block up thereby leading to problems.
During removal/installation of the oil pressure sensor (1) a long wrench socket must be used.
Following installation of the oil pressure sensor (1), wait for at least 1 h, to ensure that a pressure compensation occurs in the connector housing. Then delete the fault memory and conduct a perform a test drive.
The remove sensors are to be marked according to installation location and returned for inspection. The sensors are to be packed such that oil will not enter the connector during transport.
Contact with Mercedes-AMG shall be through the TIPS case module.
