Repair kit
An inspection of problem parts enabled confirmation to be reached where replacement of the filter in the AdBlue® metering device inlet, the filter in the pump module inlet and the pressure limiting valve in the pump module, would have enabled - in many instances - the EATS to be repaired.
This is why from roughly 04/2013 onwards a repair kit is available for the AdBlue® metering device and the pump module.
The problems here mainly involve the ACM fault codes "63F0E0" and "161100".
In this complaint the plausibility check for the exhaust aftertreatment system reports values that are too high.
Software release in aftertreatment control module (ACM) control unit
If the pressure limiting valve is to be replaced, the software for the aftertreatment control module (ACM) control unit (A60) must always be updated, because the opening pressure for the component has been changed.
The appropriate software for updating is included from Version 05/2013 onwards on the XENTRY-DVD.
Bolt, AdBlue® metering device
The bolts for the AdBlue® metering device are not currently included in the repair kit. They have to be ordered separately.
Repair kit operation item
The installation of the repair kit must always be invoiced through the newly created operation item "V 14 8059 Install repair kit for pump module and AdBlue® metering device (after check)".
