Since October 2006 only the modified metering device with heating element is still installed in series production on these vehicles and the replacement part delivered via the GLC.
When replacing the metering device only the metering device with heating element may still be installed irrespective of which metering device was installed.
If in the case of repair a metering device without heating element is replaced by a metering device with heating element, the following work must also be carried out:
Routing a wiring harness for power supply of heating element.
The software release in the engine control (MR) control unit must be changed from V05 to V07 as per the download.
The heating element must be parameterized with the help of STAR DIAGNOSIS.
For the installation of the modified metering device we have prepared the repair instructions anew or revised the existing repair instructions.
