Only one exhaust gas recirculation cooler variant
Since 18.03.2016, only one exhaust gas recirculation cooler (1) variant is installed in the OM 934 and OM 936 engines in series production.
Modified connection fitting (2) for coolant lines (3, 4)
The new exhaust gas recirculation cooler (1) is equipped with a modified connection fitting (2) for the coolant lines (3, 4). As a result, after replacement of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (1) or replacement of a complete engine, the coolant lines (3, 4) on the vehicle can no longer be connected.
Additional parts in event of a repair
If either the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (1) or the complete engine is replaced, additional parts must be determined from the list below and then be installed. The footer in the EPC must be observed at all times.
Documentation in VeDoc
After a modification, the data card in VeDoc must be altered accordingly. In other words, the old variant parts list numbers must be replaced with the new variant parts list numbers. These are available in VeDoc in the "SAA numbers" tab under DG 14 exhaust gas recirculation, DG 20 engine cooling system, DG 50 vehicle coolant system.
