Noises from belt drive or belt tensioner.
In the past belt tensioners were replaced frequently on account of noise complaints.
When examining the belt tensioners A 457 200 20 70 with noise complaints most noises could not be comprehended and no defect could be found.
The noise sources or possible external influences which lead to noises can only be determined in the installed condition.
It is therefore necessary in the case of noise complaints to examine the vehicle of the contract partner together with the service manager/area manager before removing the belt tensioner.
After this, information is given to Hrn. Hiller (ASK-RPS) via the Service Dept, in order after consultation to send a team of experts on site.
The belt tensioner must not be removed without agreement.
