In this document we would like to inform you of a technical modification to the turbocharger (1) which is limited to approx. 1000 engines.
At the housing of the turbocharger (1), a shim (3) has been factory-fitted between the housing and retaining support (2) owing to a structural modification.
In the case of repair work on the engine during which the existing turbocharger (1) is reinstalled, the installed shim (3) must be reinserted between the housing and retaining support (2).
If a new turbocharger (1) is installed, the previously installed shim (3) can no longer be used.
If the shim (3) is lost, the shim listed in the ordering information table can be used as a replacement.
