Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves. | |
1 | Detach preheating hose (6) from heater | ||
2 | Detach 4-pin and 7-pin connector (2, 3) from heater housing (4) | ||
3 | Loosen fuel line (7) from aspirator hose (8) (arrow) | ||
Danger! | Risk of explosion from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. | No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel. | |
4 | Detach fuel line (7) from heater | Collect fuel which flows out. | |
5 | Seal fuel line with a suitable plug | ||
6 | Detach aspirator hose (8) from heater | ||
7 | Support heater housing (4) | ||
8 | Unscrew 2 screws (5) on the side wall | ||
9 | Unscrew 4 screws (1) on underbody and remove heater housing with heater | For changing or repairing the heater: | |
Remove heater from housing | |||
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
11 | Check function of auxiliary heater |
