Remove

Discharge air conditioning system.

Remove the alternator (G2).

Release and disconnect electrical connector (6).

Remove screw (7) and detach high-pressure line (8) from refrigerant compressor (A9).

Seal openings using suitable stop plugs and protective covers.

Remove screw (9) and detach low-pressure line(10) from refrigerant compressor(A9).

Seal openings using suitable stop plugs and protective covers.

Remove bolts (3, 4, 5).

Remove refrigerant compressor(A9) upwards.



Install

Correct oil level of refrigerant compressor (A9).

When installing new refrigerant compressor (A9).

Place refrigerant compressor (A9) on belt pulley for 10  minutes and then turn belt pulley to and fro approx. 90° 3 times.

When installing new refrigerant compressor (A9).

 This serves to fill the area surrounding the slide ring seal with oil.

Position refrigerant compressor (A9) in engine compartment and screw in screws (3, 4, 5).

Tighten screws (3, 4, 5).

Remove stop plugs and protective covers, mount low-pressure line (10) and tighten screw (9).



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.
