Notes on handling refrigerant R134a
1 | Remove cover from filter drier (1)
2 | Remove plug (3) and screw in manually operated shutoff valve completely | The manually operated shutoff valve is located below the plug (3). When the A/C is switched off, the electrical shutoff valve (6) is responsible for the function of the second manually operated shutoff valve.
3 | Empty closed-off circuit of filter drier (1) via filling valve (5) using A/C suction and recycling equipment | Pay attention to the operating instructions of the A/C suction and recycling equipment.
Installation: Evacuate closed-off circuit of filter drier (1) via filling valve (5) using A/C suction and recycling equipment for at least 10 minutes and check for leaktightness.
4 | Take off clamp (2) | ||
5 | Detach threaded connections (4) from filter drier (1)
| Compressor oils (specification 362.0) | ||
Installation: Use new sealing rings. Coat sealing rings with compressor oil before installation.
Refrigerant line to filter drier
Warning | Risk of injury caused by damaged assemblies filled with refrigerant | Wear protective clothing, safety gloves and safety glasses.
6 | Detach filter drier (1) | If necessary, detach the refrigerant line between the filter drier (1) and the manually operated shutoff valve.
Installation: Check packaging of filter drier (1) for damage. Discard filter driers (1) with damaged packaging.
