3 | Remove electrical connector (9) with bracket | Model 447 with engine 622 | |
To do this, remove bolts (10). | |||
4 | Disconnect electrical connector of fill level sensor at brake fluid reservoir (2) | ||
5 | Remove brake fluid reservoir (2) | Do not extract brake fluid, brake fluid reservoir (2) is not completely removed. | |
6 | Unhook pneumatic spring (3) of engine hood | Model 447.8, 448.8 | |
Secure engine hood against falling using strut. | |||

7 | Detach electrical wiring harness (4) and guide through opening at air/water duct (1) | To do so, unclip the electrical wiring harness (4) and loosen the rubber grommet (5). | |
Installation: Ensure that rubber grommet (5) is seated correctly, check retaining clip and replace as per findings. | |||
8 | Unclip spray nozzles (7) | To do so, lightly press down spray nozzles (7) and guide out of engine hood using a pivoting motion. | |
9 | Unclip holder securing hose (6) to engine hood | ||
10 | Detach hose (6) at hinge of engine hood and guide through opening at air/water duct (1) | To do this, loosen rubber grommet on hose (6) and remove from brackets. | |
Installation: Note installation position of hose (6). | |||
11 | Disconnect riveted joint of air/water duct (1) to left fender | Model 447.8, 448.8 | |
Commercially available devices/tools | |||
Installation: Remove drill chips; repair paint damage if necessary. Replace rivet. | |||
12 | Remove screws/bolts (8) | ||
13 | Unclip brake lines | Model 447.### 2# | |
Installation: Check retaining clip, inspect and, if necessary, replace. | |||
14 | Remove air/water duct (1) | ||
15 | Transfer detachable parts of air/water duct (1) | Only when replacing air/water duct (1). | |
