Check gap dimensions (F, H, I, J) on the front door (1)

Check transition between front door (1) and the front fender (2)

 Contour of front fender (2) must align with contour of front door (1) or protrude by max. 1 mm.

Check transition between front door (1) and rear door (3)

 Contour of front door (1) must align with contour of rear door (3) or protrude by max. 1 mm. At the same time, the front door (1) must close easily.

Adjust

Detach screws (4) from lock striker (5)


It must be possible to move lock striker (5) during adjustment process.
The lock striker (5) can otherwise damage the door lock when closing the front door (1).

Detach nuts (6) from hinges (7) and adjust gap dimensions (H, J) and transition between front door (1) and front fender (2) by moving front door (1)

Only slightly detach nuts (6).
Adjustment of front door (1) is otherwise made difficult by too much play at contact surfaces of hinges (7).

 The contours of the front fender (2) and A-pillar must align with the contour of the front door (1) or protrude by max. 1 mm.

 Helper required.

Tighten nuts (6)

 Nut, hinge to front door

Remove

Remove left or right front fender (2)

When adjusting gap dimensions (F, I).

Adjust

Detach screws (8) on top and bottom hinge (7) and adjust gap dimensions (F, I) by moving the front door (1)

Loosen bolts (8) only slightly.
Adjustment of front door (1) is otherwise made difficult by too much play at contact surfaces of hinges (7).

 Helper required.

Tighten screw/bolts (8)

 Bolt, hinge to A-pillar

Adjust transition between front door (1) and rear door (3) by moving the lock striker (5)

 Contour of front door (1) must align with contour of rear door (3) or protrude by max. 1 mm. At the same time, the front door (1) must close easily.

Tighten bolts (4)

 Bolt, lock striker to B-pillar

Touch up paint damage to nuts (6) and screws (8)



Install

Install left or right front fender (2)

After adjusting gap dimensions (F, I).

Calibrate

Calibrate left or right side camera in outside mirror
