Remove rear side paneling (1)

Model 638.2 only

Completely push driver or passenger seat toward front

Unscrew coat hook (2)

 Remove plastic cap upward

Unscrew bolt (3) from automatic belt retractor

 Remove cover

 With emergency tensioning retractor

 Without emergency tensioning retractor

Unscrew bolts from front door sill

 Only the three rear bolts, then push strip to side

Unscrew paneling (4) on floor in area of B-pillar

Unscrew door sill from sliding door

Unclip paneling (5) from B-pillar

 Paneling (5) has tow retaining lugs at top.

First unclip paneling (5) at bottom and then pull out downward .

 Installation: Ensure that seat belt height adjustment is positioned correctly.
