1 | Disconnect ground line from battery | ||
2.1 | Remove cover of radio installation slot | with code ER0 Radio preinstallation. Unclip electrical lines from cover. | |
2.2 | Remove radio | with code EF5, EF6 or EF7R Radio sound 10, 20 or 30. | |
3 | Detach ventilation box and put down on engine | ||
4 | Position suitable receptacle for coolant below vehicle | ||
5 | Disconnect connections from front of heater housing | ||
6 | Remove electrical center | ||
7 | Remove gearshift lever | ||
8 | Remove covering at instrument cluster | ||
9 | Remove instrument cluster | ||
10 | Remove paneling from left A-pillar | Unclip upper paneling and pull out upward. | |
11 | Unscrew sun visors | ||
12.1 | Remove inside rearview mirror | Except code FM1/ FM2 Heated windshield with rain sensor. Push inside rearview mirror up and remove. | |
12.2 | with code FM1/ FM2 Heated windshield with rain sensor. Remove paneling from inside rearview mirror base, slide mirror downward and remove. | ||
13 | Unclip interior lights | ||
14 | Expose antenna line | ||
15 | Remove instrument panel support | ||
Installation: Install instrument panel support. | |||

16 | Install in the reverse order | ||
17.1 | Set time on instrument cluster | Except code J19/J28 Tachograph | |
18.1 | Set time on timer for auxiliary heater | With code H12w Warm water auxiliary heater or H86 Timer for auxiliary heater | |
19 | If necessary, code radio | ||
20 | Read out fault memory | If necessary, delete DTC memory. |
