1 | Open platform cover (1) and dropside. | ||
2 | Unclip pneumatic springs (21) from mounting bolts (22) of platform cover (1). | Helper required. | |
3 | Remove platform cover (1). | For this purpose, remove hinge pins (17). | |
4 | Remove left rear lamp unit. | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical wiring harness (30) from electrical subharness (32). | ||
6 | Remove electrical wiring harness (30). | ||
7 | Remove fastening clamps (7, 8) and spacer sleeves (6). | To do this, remove bolts (9) . | |
8 | Remove screws (12). | ||
9 | Remove roll bar (2) with covers (37). | Helper required. | |
| Install | ||
10 | Install roll bar (2) with covers (37) on platform. | | |
Helper required. Spacers (34) must, as shown, be in contact with covers (37). | |||
If covers (37) are not seated correctly, | |||

release respective nut (35), turn respective setting screw (36), and tighten respective nut (35) again. | |||
11 | Position fastening clamps (7, 8), as shown, on left and right with spacer sleeves (6) and tighten screws (9). | Screw, roll bar holder to fastening clamp/platform | |
12 | Screw in screws (12). | Screw, roll bar holder to fastening clamp/platform | |
| Clean | ||
13 | Remove adhesive residues at fasteners and platform groove. | ||
14 | Clean bonding surfaces for fasteners of electrical wiring harness (30) in platform groove. | Cleaner | |
15 | Route electrical wiring harness (30) in platform groove to left rear lamp unit installation opening | ||
16 | Attach electrical wiring harness (30) in platform groove. | For this purpose, glue on fasteners with electrical wiring harness (30). Replace damaged fasteners. | |
Double-sided adhesive tape | |||
17 | Connect electrical wiring harness (30) with electrical subharness (32). | ||
18 | Install left rear lamp unit. | ||
19 | Install platform cover (1). | For this purpose, position hinges (18) of platform cover (1) at cutout (arrow a) of sealing rail (19) and install hinge pins (17) as shown. | |
20 | Engage hinge pins (17) in cutout (arrow b) at sealing rail (19). | ||
21 | Unclip pneumatic springs (21) at mounting bolts (22) of platform cover (1). | Helper required. | |
22 | Close platform cover (1) and dropside. |
