1 | Commission steering column tube module (MRM) control unit (N80) using diagnostic system. | When replacing steering column tube module (9). | |

2 | Remove steering wheel. | ||
3 | Unclip trim (1) from steering column tube module (9). | Do not remove cover (1). | |

4 | Pull steering column tube module (9) backward out of cutouts (3) and remove steering column tube module (9) from steering column tube (2). | | |
Installation: When the safety springs (4) are in the correct installation position, the assembly indicator (5) is retracted. | |||
If steering column tube module (9) is replaced. | |||

The transport protection (6) must be broken off after positioning the steering column tube module (9) on the steering column tube (2). | |||
5 | Unclip retaining clip (7) with electrical wiring harness from steering column tube module (9). | ||
6 | Disconnect electrical connector (8) and remove steering column tube module (9). | ||

7 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
