| Remove/install | ||
1 | Turn steering wheel (1) into center position | The front wheels must be in the straight-ahead position. | |
2 | Remove airbag from steering wheel (1) | ||
3 | Disconnect electrical connection (2) | ||
4 | Unscrew center bolt (3) | ||
| Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts | ||
Have someone assist you in counterholding the steering wheel (1). | |||
Bolt, steering wheel to steering shaft | |||
5 | Remove steering wheel (1) from steering shaft | Installation: Assign marking on serrations in steering wheel (1) to marking on steering shaft. | |
6 | Install in the reverse order | ||

7 | Perform function test of horns, turn signal cancellation and the buttons on the steering wheel (1) | ||
8 | Perform function test of vibration motor on steering wheel using diagnostic system | Model 447, 448 | |
