Danger ! | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
Danger ! | Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure.Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid. | Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.
Danger ! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off during lifting | Only lift vehicle at the lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
Danger ! | Risk of injury from being trapped in the swivel range of steered axles | Ensure that no persons or objects are in the swivel range of all steered axles when turning the steering wheel. Do not stand in the swivel range of the additional steering axle when the engine is running.
Danger ! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Bleeding | |||
| Switch on ignition | So that the engine can be started and stopped to allow bleeding with the cab tilted.
| Move front wheels to straight-ahead position
| Open maintenance flap
| Tilt cab | ||
| Check steering gear oil level in oil reservoir and correct if necessary | Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids.
| Secure vehicle against rolling
| Raise vehicle at front axle far enough so that wheels can turn freely, and jack up vehicle
| Start engine and allow to run at idle speed until no more air bubbles rise in oil reservoir | Observe the steering gear oil level in the oil reservoir and top up the steering gear oil if necessary. The steering gear oil level in the oil reservoir must not drop below the "min." mark, otherwise air will be drawn in.
| Turn off engine | ||
| Check steering gear oil level in oil reservoir and correct if necessary | Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids.
| Close oil reservoir | ||
| Lower cab | ||
| Start engine and run at idle speed
| Turn steering wheel several times to mechanical steering stop at left and right
| Move front wheels to straight-ahead position
| Turn off engine | ||
| Switch on ignition | ||
| Tilt cab | ||
| Check steering gear oil level in oil reservoir and correct if necessary | Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids.
| Start engine and run at idle speed | Monitor the steering gear oil in the oil reservoir. No more air bubbles must rise in the oil reservoir.
| Turn off engine | After the engine is switched off, the steering gear oil level in the oil reservoir may rise by max. 2 cm. If the steering gear oil level in the oil reservoir rises by more than 2 cm, this means air is still present in the system and the bleeding process must be repeated.
| Raise front axle, remove jack stands and lower vehicle
| Pour steering gear oil into oil reservoir up to "max." marking on oil dipstick | Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids.
| Close oil reservoir | ||
| Lower cab | ||
| Close maintenance flap |
