Remove/install

Turn steering wheel (1) to center position.

 The front wheels must be in the straight-ahead position.

Remove airbag unit from steering wheel (1).

Counterhold steering wheel (1) and remove bolt (1s).

 Installation: Use the bolt (1s) again and mark with a water-soluble pen (color dot).

If the bolt (1s) already bears a marking (color dot)



replace bolt (1s).

Release and disconnect electrical connector (1r).

Remove steering wheel (1).

 Installation: Align recesses of the splines (arrow) in the steering wheel (1) with the markings on the steering shaft.

Install in the reverse order.
