If necessary, vent compressed air until the reservoir pressure is a maximum of 8 bar

Start engine, completely fill compressed air system at idle speed and check shutoff pressure of pressure regulator, adjust if necessary

Check cut-in pressure

 For this, allow the engine to run at idle. Unfasten union nut from hose of pressure gauge on test connection for reservoir pressure (3) only far enough until the reservoir pressure slowly drops off.
The cut-in pressure is reached when the pressure regulator switches over, i.e. does not blow off via the vent system any more.

Adjust the shutoff pressure of the pressure regulator by screwing the adjustment screw (1) in or out


The shutoff pressure must not exceed the specified value.
Otherwise the safety valve on the constant pressure vessel may respond at approx. 13 bar and the pressure regulator no longer switches off properly.

 For the single-chamber air drier with integrated pressure regulator (6.12) from the WABCO company or the dual-chamber air drier with integrated pressure regulator (with tire inflation connection) (6.15):
Counterhold the adjustment nut (2) when adjusting.
