| Remove | ||
1 | Remove respective rear axle shaft. | ||
Do not yet dispose of nuts of threaded pins (2). | |||
2 | Knock-out threaded pins (2). | To do so, flush fit old nuts of threaded pin (2) and knock out threaded pins (2) using a hammer. | |
3 | Detach pulse ring (1). | Dispose of pulse ring (1). | |

4 | Check brake carrier plate (3) for damage. | If damage exists, | |

Replace brake carrier plate (3). | |||
| Install | ||
5 | Press new pulse ring (1) onto rear axle shaft. | To do so, press on pulse ring (1) with suitable pressure padding (4) and suitable press-in sleeve (5), as shown. | |
Commercially available devices/tools | |||
6 | Insert new threaded pins (2) into brake carrier plate (3) and wheel bearing housing. | To do so, align bores of brake carrier plate (3) with corresponding bores of wheel hub housing. | |
7 | Draw in new threaded pins (2). | To do so, position suitable washer and one of the nuts on each threaded pin (2) and tighten nut until the collar of the threaded pin (2) makes contact with the contact surface of the brake carrier plate (3). | |
8 | Install respective rear axle shaft. | ||
| Check | ||
9 | Read out fault memory. | ||
| Connect/disconnect diagnostic unit | ||
If existing faults are stored, | |||
| |||
erase the fault memory. |
