1 | Remove center console | ||
2 | Release nut (7) far enough until front brake cable (1) is slack | ||
3 | Lift vehicle on vehicle lift | ||

4 | Detach rear brake cables from brake compensator lever | ||
5 | Unscrew nuts (2) | ||
6 | Lower vehicle | Do not lower the vehicle. | |
7 | Remove bolt (3) | ||
8 | Release and disconnect electrical connector at parking brake indicator lamp button | ||
9 | Remove parking brake lever (4) with mounting support (5), seal (6) and front brake cable (1) | ||
10 | Check seal (6) for damage | If seal (6) is damaged. | |

Replace front brake cable (1). | |||
11 | Detach front brake cable (1) from mounting support (5) and parking brake lever (4) | When replacing parking brake lever (4) with mounting support (5). | |
12 | Remove parking brake indicator lamp button from mounting support (5) | When replacing parking brake lever (4) with mounting support (5). | |

13 | Attach parking brake indicator lamp button to mounting support (5) | When replacing parking brake lever (4) with mounting support (5). | |
14 | Attach front brake cable (1) to parking brake lever (4) and mounting support (5) | When replacing parking brake lever (4) with mounting support (5) or when replacing front brake cable (1). | |
15 | Position parking brake lever (4) with mounting support (5), seal (6) and front brake cable (1) in vehicle | ||
16 | Fully tighten screw/bolts (3) | Screw/bolt, parking brake lever mounting bracket to body | |
17 | Push electrical connector onto parking brake indicator lamp button until electrical connector engages | ||
18 | Install center console | ||
19 | Raise vehicle | ||
20 | Tighten nuts (2) | Nut, brake cable bracket to body | |
21 | Attach rear brake cables to brake compensator lever | ||
