1 | Remove wheel | ||
2 | Release parking brake | ||
3 | Turn brake shaft on brake adjuster (1) back to neutral position | This enables the run-in brake drum to be removed. | |
Installation: Adjust clearance. | |||
4 | Mark relative positions of brake drum (4) and wheel hub | ||
5 | Press off brake drum (4) with three bolts (5) | Tighten bolts (5) in diagonally opposite sequence. | |
Installation: Note marking on brake drums (4) relative to wheel hub. | |||
6 | Clean brake drum (4) and brake linings (3) | ||

7 | Check brake drum (4) and brake linings (3) for wear | ||
8 | Check that contact surfaces of wheel hub and brake drums (4) are clean | Clean contact surfaces if necessary. | |
9 | Install in the reverse order |
