Removing thrust piece with bellows
1 Insert new brake pad into outer brake recess.
To avoid a complete undoing of the threaded tube (3).
2 Undo thrust piece (2) by way of brake adjuster with adapter clockwise by max. 30 mm.
3 Use ejector fork (1) to pry off thrust piece (2) from threaded tube (3).
The flat side of the puller (1) must face the threaded pipe (3).
4 Apply screwdriver (4) to seat of bellows and drive-in approx. 4 mm. In doing so do not damage the inner seal cap or the seat of the bellows.
In the event of damage to the inner seal cap the brake caliper will have to be replaced.
5 Pry out bellows.
6 Remove dry liner from cone of threaded tube.
If corrosion or water penetration is detected on thread of threaded tube, then the brake caliper must be replaced.
