Determine vehicle level at front and rear axle.

Fix steering wheel in center position.

Insert wheel spreader at front on inside of wheel in the direction of travel.

 The elastic bearing of the lower transverse control arm and steering linkage produce a correspondingly large toe value that is reduced to the correct dimension in the ready-to-drive condition.

Perform chassis alignment.

 Compare toe-in values according to vehicle level with actual values measured during wheel alignment measurement.

Adjust

Release each counternut (1).

If the actual values for the toe are out of tolerance.

Adjust toe by turning the tie rod (2) to the specified value.

If the actual values for the toe are out of tolerance.

 Make sure that the respective boot (3) is not twisted.
