1 | Remove rear wheel hub | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes from handling hot or glowing objects | Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and, if necessary, eye protection. | |
2 | Pull race (3) together with inner tapered roller bearing (4) off wheel carrier (1) | Installation: - The chamfer on the race faces in the direction of the O-ring on the wheel carrier. - Heat race and inner tapered roller bearing to approx. 100 °C and push onto wheel carrier up to the stop. | |
3 | Remove O-ring (5) from wheel carrier (1) | Installation: Replace O-ring. | |
4 | Remove ABS sensor | ||
5 | Remove ABS sensor clamping ring (2) from wheel carrier (1) | ||
6 | Remove brake pads from brake carrier (6) | Alternatively, the brake carrier can be removed complete with brake pads. | |
7 | Unscrew wheel carrier (1) from rear axle bracket (8) together with brake carrier (6) and brake cover plate (7) | | |
8 | Pull wheel carrier (1) from brake carrier (6) and remove wheel carrier (1) | Installation: Replace O-ring. | |
9 | Install in the reverse order |
