Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove respective front axle transverse control arm

Remove respective ball head (2) from steering knuckle

 Ball head (2) is not removed completely.

Drain transmission oil



Manual transmission - oil change

Unfasten bearing (3) of front axle shaft (5)

Only when removing the right-hand front axle shaft (5).

 To do this, remove screw/bolt (4).

 Screw, bearing front axle shaft to holder

Remove respective front axle shaft (5) from wheel hub

Remove respective front axle shaft (5) from transmission flange

Replace respective radial shaft sealing ring on transmission flange

Install in the reverse order
