3 | Remove upper transverse control arm (6) | ||
| Inspecting | ||
4 | Move the ball pin of supporting joint (7) and follower joint (8) in all directions using a tube with a length of approx. 150 mm | The ball pin should move without play and without seizing, and should not cause any grinding noises. Replace the supporting joint (7) or upper transverse control arm (6) if necessary | |
5 | Check the boots (7f, 8f) for tears and damage | If the boot is leaking, replace the supporting joint (7) or upper transverse control arm (6). | |
