Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Lift/jack up vehicle | ||
2 | Mark assembly position of rubber bushings (7) on stabilizer bar (6) | ||
3 | Remove screws/bolts (3) | Should the link rods (2) also be removed, remove bolts (1). | |
4 | Remove screws/bolts (4) | ||
5 | Take off torsion bar (6) | ||
6 | Remove rubber bushing (7) from stabilizer bar (6) | Clean all parts, check for wear and replace if necessary Bushing points must be free of grease. | |
| Install | ||
7 | Mount rubber bushing (7) | Only use rubber bushing (7) for torsion bushing. Align rubber bushing (7) in the center between the markings. | |
8 | Install clamps (5) | Replace clamps (5) if bushing has not been changed over to torsion bushing. For easy mounting, wet the rubber bushing (7) on the outside. | |
9 | Align bushing | Adjust bushing so that the contact surfaces at the frame are parallel to the stabilizer bar arms. | |
10 | Position stabilizer bar (6) on frame | Only turn the bolts (4), do not tighten. | |
11 | Adjust basic setting of stabilizer bar (dimension a) | For doing this, calibrate angle gauge at contact surface on frame to 0°. | |

12 | Tighten clamps (5) | | |
13 | Install stabilizer bar (6) on the link rods (2) | |
