3 | Remove transmission maintenance flap. | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
4 | Drain coolant | Catch coolant with suitable vessel. Installation: Replace sealing ring. Top up coolant (pour in same quantity as that drained) and check filling capacity. Replace coolant if necessary. | |
5 | Drain transmission oil from oil cooler and transmission. | Catch transmission oil with suitable vessel. Installation: Screw the drain plug back in. Top up transmission oil (pour in same quantity as that drained) and check filling capacity. | |
| Automatic transmission fluid and filter change | ||
6 | Remove oil pipe (4) and oil cooler (1) for automatic transmission oil cooling | Remove remaining oil from oil cooler. The oil cooler is removed together with the oil pipes and transmission housing connecting piece. Installation: replace gaskets and O-rings, grease with Vaseline if necessary. | |
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||

8 | Engine cooling system - inspect fluid level, adjust to correct level. Inspect anticorrosion/ antifreeze protection, adjust to correct concentration | ||
9 | Automatic transmission - check oil level and correct |
