Remove/install

Remove bumper

Remove cover (1) from engine hood lock

Unhook engine hood pull cable (2)

Disconnect electrical connector from DISTRONIC sensor

Model 447 with code JP2 (Driving Assistance package) Model 447.8, model 448.8 with code ET4 (DISTRONIC PLUS)

Remove screws (3)

Remove front end cross member (4)

 To do this, remove the bolts (5).

 Screw, front module carrier to crossmember

Remove screw/bolt (6)

Remove lines (7)

 To do this, remove clamps.

 Record plug

Remove oil cooler (8)

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check oil level of automatic transmission; correct if necessary
