Disassemble

Disassemble output shaft with center and rear gear set

Remove snap ring (105s)

Remove end disk (105)

4

Remove disk pack (5) with disk spring (5t)

 Check disks for scorch marks and wear.

Press disk spring (21t) together with assembly device

 Press together disk spring (21t) until groove of snap ring (21) is exposed.

Remove snap ring (21s)

Remove assembly device

Remove disk spring (21t)

Remove piston (21k)



Checking

Check external plate carrier (21a) for swirl marks and replace if necessary



Assemble

Install piston (21k) in external plate carrier (21a)

 Replace seal (arrow) on piston (21k).

Install disk spring (21t)

 Insert the disk spring (21t) in such a way that the curvature of the inner circumference points toward the piston (21k).

Press disk spring (21t) together with assembly device

 Press together disk spring (21t) until groove of snap ring (21s) is exposed.

Install snap ring (21s).

 Pay attention to the installation position of the circlip (21s). If installed incorrectly, the disk spring (5t) jams.

Remove assembly device

 Assembly device

Install disk spring (5t)

 Insert the disk spring (5t) in such a way that the curvature of the inner circumference points toward the piston (21k).

17

Install disk pack (5).

 Pay attention to sequence of disks.

18

Install end disk (105).

19

Install snap ring (105s).



Measure

Measure and adjust clearance
