Dismantling

1

Remove snap ring (44h) from external plate carrier

Remove multi-disk pack (44g) and spring washer (44f) from external plate carrier

 Check multi-disks for scorch marks and wear.

Place assembly device (072) on spring plate (44d) and tension until the snap ring (44e) is exposed

Remove snap ring (44e)

Remove spring plate (44d) and piston (44c) from the external plate carrier



Assemble

Install piston (44c) in the external plate carrier

 Check sealing ring (44b) and replace if necessary.

 The rounded off edges of the sealing ring must point outwards

Insert spring plate (44d)

 Insert spring washer with the curvature towards the piston

Place assembly device (072) on spring plate and tension until the groove of the snap ring is exposed

Insert snap ring (44e)

 The collar of the snap ring must point towards the multi-disk pack.

Insert spring washer (44f) and multi-disk pack (44g) in the external plate carrier and measure

 Observe outer multi-disk sequence
