Disassemble

Notes on automatic transmission

Remove retaining ring (105s) and end disk (105)

Remove clutch pack (5) and disk spring (5t)

 Check disks for scorch marks and wear.

Place multidisk brake into lever press

Place thrust device onto disk spring (15t) in external plate carrier (15a)

 Position thrust device precisely (see arrow in picture 2) to enable the retaining ring (15s) to be removed later.

Actuate lever press until the retaining ring (15s) is exposed


Stop lever press stoke as soon as accessibility to groove is sufficient.
Excessive clamping force will damage the plate supports.

Remove retaining ring (15s) from groove

Move back lever press

Remove thrust device and multidisk brake from lever press

Remove retaining ring (15s)

Remove disk spring (15t)

Remove piston (15k) from external plate carrier (15a)

 Check vulcanized-on seal for damage.



Check

Check outer plate carrier (15a) for damage



Assemble

Install piston (15k)

Install disk spring (15t)

 Insert disk spring (15t) in such a way that the curvature of the inner circumference points toward the piston (15k).

Fit retaining ring (15s)

 Final installation is only possible when the lever press is actuated.

Place multidisk brake into lever press

Place thrust device on disk spring (15t)

 Position thrust device precisely (see arrow in picture 2) to enable the retaining ring (15s) to be installed.



Install retaining ring (15s)


Check for correct installation position of retaining ring (15s).
Otherwise the disk spring (5t) will jam.

Move back lever press

Remove thrust device and multidisk brake from lever press

Install disk spring (5t) and clutch pack (5) into external plate carrier (15a)

 Insert disk spring (5t) in such a way that curvature of the inner circumference points toward the piston (15k).

Measure and adjust clearance
