1 | Remove rear lower engine compartment paneling |

2 | Detach ball sockets (1) from ball heads on transmission using a suitable tool | ||
3 | Detach shift cables (2) from bracket (5) using a suitable tool | Cut cable tie if necessary. | |
4 | Detach gearshift lever with bearing bracket | ||
5 | Detach rubber grommets (6) from body | ||
6 | Remove shift cables (2) upwards | Cut cable tie if necessary. | |
| Install | ||
7 | Insert shift cables (2) | If necessary, replace cable ties. Pay attention to correct routing of shift cables (2). | |
8 | Attach rubber grommets (6) to body | Make sure that the rubber grommets (6) are seated correctly. | |
9 | Attach ball sockets (1) to ball heads on transmission | Grease ball heads on transmission and ball sockets (1). | |
Long-life grease | |||
10 | Attach shift cables (2) to bracket (5) | If necessary, replace locking plate (4) and replace cable tie. | |
11 | Adjust shift cables (2) | ||
Do not install the gearshift lever with bearing bracket completely yet. | |||
12 | Replace cable tie | ||
13 | Install gearshift lever with bearing bracket | ||
14 | Install rear lower engine compartment paneling |
