| Disassemble | ||
1 | Remove drive shaft (1). | ||
2 | Remove cylindrical roller bearing cage (7) from drive shaft (4) | The cylindrical roller bearing cage may remain on the main shaft when removing the drive shaft. | |
3 | Pry securing washer (1) off drive shaft (4) with a screwdriver | ||
4 | Push compensating ring halves (2) out with a screwdriver and remove | ||
5 | Pull cylindrical roller bearing (3) from drive shaft (4) together with toothed lock washer (5) | | |

6 | Push flanged washer (6) from drive shaft (4) | The flanged washer (6) is part of the cylindrical roller bearing inner race. | |
7 | Clean all parts, check for wear and replace parts if necessary | ||
| Assemble | ||

8 | Place flanged washer (6), cylindrical roller bearing (3) and toothed lock washer (5) onto drive shaft (4) one after the other | Heat the cylindrical roller bearing (3), the toothed lock washer (5) and the flanged washer (6) to approx. 120 °C. | |
9 | Drive compensating ring halves (2) into the groove | ||
10 | Install circlip (1). | After fitting, peen collar of securing washer (1) over in 3 - 4 places. | |
11 | Place cylindrical roller bearing cage (7) in drive shaft (4) | ||
12 | Install drive shaft (1) |
