1 Drive new cap (15) flush into transmission housing using a suitable drift.
Note installed position (see sectional view).
Insert the cap (15) using Loctite 270 locking agent.

2 Drive in bearing outer race and bearing inner race of cylindrical roller bearing (28) using a suitable drift.

3 Insert shift fork (30) into transmission housing and center at installation position using a suitable drift.

4 Pass gear (25) together with sliding sleeve (24) through power take-off opening and install in transmission housing.
The rounded inner side (arrow) of the sliding sleeve must face the drive plate.
The shift fork in the transmission housing must engage in the sliding sleeve.
5 Slide in shift rod (15).
6 Insert thrust plate (27) into transmission housing.
The collar (arrow) of the thrust plate must face the cylindrical roller bearing of the drive plate.
7 Place transmission housing in press-in tool; when doing so, hold thrust plate (27) in position.
8 Fix gear (25), sliding sleeve (24) and thrust plate (27) in installation position.

9 Insert drive plate (23) and needle roller bearing (26) into transmission housing as far as end stop.
Insert the needle roller bearing with long-life grease.

10 Insert spring (33) into transmission housing.
11 Screw in threaded bushing (32) using socket wrench.
Insert the bush with Loctite 270 locking agent.
Pay attention to tightening torque.
12 Check that shift rod (15) moves easily; fit a new threaded bushing (32) if necessary.

Operation steps 13 to 16 only on power take-offs with transmission lock (code N80).
13 Insert plunger (14) of shift lock into transmission housing.

14 Insert lock pawl (10) into transmission housing.

15 Insert thrust piece (13) and spring (12) into transmission housing.
16 Tighten stop plug (11).
Insert the stop plug with Loctite 270 locking agent.
