Remove central clutch release bearing (1)

Remove guide tube

For vehicles with transmission 716.65 with for release bearing

Clean

Clean area around radial shaft sealing ring (2) and around sealing cover (3)

Cleaner from package

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (2) and sealing cover (3) using a suitable tool.

 Carefully pierce and pry out radial shaft sealing ring (2) and sealing cover (3). Otherwise the interference fits in the transmission housing may be damaged.



Clean

Clean and degrease seats of radial shaft sealing ring (2) and sealing cover (3) in transmission housing

Cleaner from package

Install

Coat sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (2) with transmission oil and press radial shaft sealing ring (2) into transmission housing using drift (02)

 On no account should oil or grease be applied to the outside circumference of the radial sealing ring (2). Otherwise more leaks may occur.

Press new sealing cover (3) into transmission housing using drift (03)

 On no account should oil or grease be applied to the outside circumference of the sealing cover (3). Otherwise more leaks may occur.
