Remove/install

Remove charge air cooler.

Remove screw/bolt (2).

Remove engine oil cooler (1) from brackets (3).

Remove engine oil cooler (1).

 Installation:
Pay attention to dimensions (a) when positioning oil lines (4a, 4b).
The holders (6) may cause damage otherwise.

 To do this, remove screws (5) and remove engine oil cooler (1) from oil lines (4a, 4b).

 Catch escaping oil in a suitable container.
Seal oil lines (4a, 4b).

 Installation: Observe correct installation position of oil line (4a) in retaining clip (7).

 Installation: Check sealing rings for wear and damage.

If installation position of oil line (4a) is incorrect:



Correct installation position of oil line (4a).

If necessary in order to correct installation position of oil line (4a):



Replace retaining clip (7).

If wear or damage is present



Replace affected sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check engine oil level.


The engine oil level must not lie above the maximum marking.
Engine damage can occur otherwise.

If the engine oil level is not correct,



Correct engine oil level.


