	Removing
1	Remove belt pulley/vibration damper		AR03.30-W-1600J
2	Remove oil pan		AR01.45-W-7500J
3	Remove oil dipstick guide tube (6), bracket (4) and oil suction pipe (5)
4	Remove oil pump housing (1) with oil pump (9)	 Do not damage sealing surfaces.
5	Remove radial sealing ring (3)
6	Remove O-ring (7) on connection fitting
	Checking
7	Check oil pump (9) for signs of wear	 Only for an excessively low engine oil pressure. To do this remove oil pump (9) from oil pump housing (1), disassemble and check for wear.
		If there is wear on the oil pump housing (1), oil pump drive, outer rotor (11) or inner rotor (10) then the oil pump (9) with oil pump housing (1) must be replaced.
8	Check crankshaft (2) on sealing surface of radial sealing ring (3) for galling	 In case of galling: 
		Replace crankshaft (2).	AR03.20-W-4351J
	Install
9	Install O-ring (7) on connection fitting
10	Install oil pump housing (1)	 Coat sealing surfaces with sealing compound. Align drive gear of oil pump drive with drive gear (8) of crankshaft (2).	*BR00.45-Z-1026-01A

11	Place guide sleeve (12.2) on the crankshaft (2) and press in radial sealing ring (3) using the drift (12.1)	 Press in radial seal (3) dry, axially parallel and evenly around the entire circumference. The setback (A) of the radial sealing ring (3) is specified by the drift (12.1).

12	Install oil dipstick guide tube (6), bracket (4) and oil suction pipe (5)	 Ensure unstressed installation. Clean sieve on oil suction pipe (5).
