 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove clean air line.

Disconnect electrical connector at coolant temperature sensor (1).

Remove clamp (3).

 Installation: Replace clip (3).

Remove coolant temperature sensor (1).

 Removal: Catch any leaking coolant.

 Installation: Replace O-ring (2).

Install in the reverse order.

Read out fault memory.

If the coolant temperature sensor (1) is replaced.



If there are faults present in the fault memory:



Erase corresponding faults.

Refill coolant and vent engine cooling system.

Check engine cooling system for leak tightness.
