1	Disconnect ground line from battery	 Insulate ground line clamp as a protection against unintentional contact of dismounted ground line with ground point of battery.

2	Detach the right catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter bracket	Model 211	AR49.10-P-5500TT

3	Remove carrier for exhaust system at transmission	Model 211	AR49.10-P-7000TS

4	Dismount clamp for EGR line at catalytic converter	Engine 272.985

6	Dismount cable holder (1a) from starter (M1)
7	Detach the protective cap (1) and the electrical connections (2, 3) at the starter (M1)		*BA15.30-P-1001-01J

8	Unscrew bolts (4) of starter (M1)		*BA15.30-P-1003-01J
9	Press the right catalytic converter slightly to one side and remove the starter (M1) from below
10	Inspect starter ring gear for wear and damage	 Rotate engine at the center bolt, the crankshaft in the direction of rotation.
11	Install in the reverse order
