Danger! | Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue | Only pour AdBlue into suitable containers. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.
| Notes on use, material properties and handling of AdBlue® | ||
1 | Switch off ignition | ||
2 | Pull off electrical connector (2) from pump module (7) | Protect electrical connector (2) and the electrical connection at pump module (7) from escaping AdBlue solution, using plastic film or similar material.
Electrical connectors (2) and the electrical connection should not be allowed to come in contact with AdBlue, as this can cause damage to the electrical wiring harness and SCR frame module control.
3 | Check electrical wiring harness for corrosion
4 | Detach AdBlue line (3) from AdBlue inlet pipe connection (11), and close off with plug (10) | Plug (10) must be kept at hand, since AdBlue will flow out immediately when AdBlue line (3) is detached.
Installation: Replace O-rings.
| Sealing piece for AdBlue intake line | ||
5 | Detach housing cover (1) | Only for vehicles with pump module (7), where the counterholding hexagon nut on filter screen support fitting (12) is not outside, but behind housing cover (1).
| |||
6 | Remove AdBlue inlet pipe connection (11) from filter screen support fitting (12) | To remove AdBlue inlet pipe connection (11), counterhold with an open end wrench (6) on filter screen support fitting (12).
| |||
7 | Remove intake filter (9) from filter screen support fitting (12) | Intake filter (9) can be removed with a sheet metal screw (8).
