Remove/install

 Danger !

Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Switch off ignition

Open maintenance flap

 Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Open cap on expansion reservoir and relieve pressure in coolant circuit



Notes on coolant

Clamp off coolant lines (4) with clamping devices and detach from line fitting

 Installation: Replace removed cable ties.

Detach AdBlue® feed line (3) and AdBlue® return line (2) from the line fitting

 Installation: Replace removed cable ties.

Disconnect electrical connection (5) and pull electrical line out of the frame

 Installation: Replace removed cable ties.

Remove AdBlue® fill level sensor/temperature sensor (B74)

 Only if the AdBlue® container is replaced.

Empty AdBlue® tank (1)


Do not fill with drained off AdBlue® again.
Contaminated AdBlue® can cause damage to the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Remove mounting rail (7)

Remove AdBlue® container (1)

Install in the reverse order

Check AdBlue® return line (2) and AdBlue® feed line (3) in the area of the line connections for leaktightness

 Visual inspection only.

Check coolant lines (4) in the area of the line connections for leaktightness

 Visual inspection only.

Close maintenance flap
