Open tailgate

Close shutoff valve on cooling system

 See Operating Instructions

 Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Drain coolant

 Installation: Pour in coolant.

Take off power steering pump

Remove compressor coolant lines (8)

 Installation: Install new sealing rings.

Detach air intake hose (1) from compressor (8)

Detach control line (2) from compressor (8)

Disconnect compressed air line (4) from compressor (8)

 Installation: Check compressed-air line (4) for carbonization and leaks, replace if necessary.

Unscrew bolts (5, 6, 7)

 Installation: Observe different bolt lengths.



Remove compressor (8) from crankcase

 Collect escaping engine oil with a suitable reservoir.

 Installation: Install new sealing rings.

Install in reverse order



Checking

Inspect engine oil level, top up engine oil if necessary

Inspect engine for leaks


