1 | Open engine hood and raise to vertical position | ||
2 | Remove fan | ||
3 | Swivel tensioner pulley for clamping device (8) downwards (arrow A) and hold or block with suitable pin | ||
4 | Take off poly-V belt (1) from belt pulley and remove | ||
5 | Swivel tensioner pulley for clamping device (2) downwards (arrow B) and hold or block with suitable pin | ||
6 | Unfasten guide pulley (7) and pull to the front | ||
7 | Remove holder (6) for fan | Mark installation position of screw/bolts (4, 5) in relation to bracket (6). | |
8 | Take off poly-V belt (3) from belt pulley and remove | ||

9 | Check all belt pulleys, deflection and tensioner pulleys for damage and smooth operation; replace if necessary | Remove/install belt pulley/vibration damper | |

Remove/install poly-V belt single tensioning device for basic belt drive | |||
Remove/install poly-V-belt single tensioning device for fan drive | |||
10 | Inspect condition of poly-V belt (3); replace if necessary | ||

11 | Put poly-V belt (3) on the belt pulleys | ||
Observe poly-V belt routing diagram. | |||
12 | Position poly-V belt (3) on tensioner pulley of tensioning device (2) and pivot back tensioning device (2) | Ensure that poly-V belt (3) is seated correctly. | |
13 | Install holder (6) for fan | Pay attention to different screw/bolt lengths (4, 5). | |
Screw/bolt, bearing bracket to bottom half of crankcase/crankcase | |||
14 | Tighten down guide pulley (7) | Screw/bolt, guide pulley to carrier | |
15 | Put poly-V belt (1) on the belt pulleys | ||

16 | Position poly-V belt (1) on tensioner pulley of tensioning device (8) and swivel back tensioning device (8) | Ensure that poly-V belt (1) is seated correctly. | |
