Remove

1

Remove oil supply connection fitting (2).

Remove fuel filter (3).



Remove fuel filter bracket (4).

Disconnect electrical connector (5) from intake port shutoff actuator motor (1).

Unscrew screw (6).

Unclip cable duct (7).

Remove cable ties and remove cable duct (7) from electrical wiring harness (8).

Remove screws (9) and bracket (10).

Unclip retaining clip (12) on intake port shutoff actuator motor (1).


Unclip retaining clip (12) carefully.
Otherwise, the intake port shutoff may be damaged.

Twist intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) by hand and unclip retaining clip (13).


Unclip retaining clip (13) carefully.
Otherwise, the intake port shutoff may be damaged.

Remove screws (11).

Remove intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) upwards.

Remove retaining clips (12, 13) from linkage.


Remove retaining clips (12, 13) carefully.
Otherwise, the linkage of the intake port shutoff may be damaged.



Install

Attach retaining clips (12, 13) to linkage.


Attach retaining clips (12, 13) carefully.
Otherwise, the linkage of the intake port shutoff may be damaged.

Position intake port shutoff actuator motor (1).

Screw in screws (11) and tighten slightly by hand.


Install intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) such that it is de-energized.
The intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) is in its basic position.
Otherwise, the intake port shutoff may be damaged or malfunction.

Twist intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) by hand and clip on retaining clip (13).


Clip on retaining clip (13) carefully.
Otherwise, the intake port shutoff may be damaged.

Clip retaining clip (12) onto intake port shutoff actuator motor (1).


Clip on retaining clip (12) carefully.
Otherwise, the intake port shutoff may be damaged.

Loosen screw (14).

Position adapter (10) and screw in screws (9) slightly by hand.


Install intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) such that it is de-energized.
The intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) is in its basic position.
Otherwise, the intake port shutoff may be damaged or malfunction.

Tighten screws (9, 11).

Place lever (15) of the linkage at end stop (arrow) and tighten screw (14).


A spring holds the intake port shutoff actuator motor (1) in its mechanical basic position.
Do not change or impair this basic position during adjustment.
Malfunctions can occur on the intake port shutoff otherwise.

Attach cable duct (7) to the electrical wiring harness (8).

 Replace cable tie.

Position cable duct (7) and clip in.

Tighten screw (6) .

 Screw/bolt, cable duct to charge air distributor

Connect electrical connector (5) at intake port shutoff actuator motor (1).

Install fuel filter bracket (4).

 Screw, fuel filter holder to charge-air distributor

Install fuel filter (3).
